Halcyon Days Eos’ By Landseer Prestige Box Size: L: 138mm W: 117mm H: 37mm Eos was an original work of art by Sir Edwin Henry Landseer (1802 Ð 1873) commissioned by Queen Victoria as a surprise Christmas gift for her husband Prince Albert. Eos had come with Prince Albert from Germany in 1840 when he married Queen Victoria.His affection for his canine companion prompted the subsequent commission which depicts Eos guarding some of her master’s personal possessions. The Eos enamelled box has been hand-crafted in England and is a true collectors item.
